Hickory.ca is undergoing a bit of a revamp. I’ve been playing around with the styles a bit, trying to remember and relearn the CSS that I used to know, and making some space for a projects page that will come along later.
I called my new WordPress theme ‘L’Etoile Mysterieuse’ – there isn’t too much going on with the page visually, but I sampled colors from the fantastic book by Herge.

I realized that I loved developing software while on an internship with BT. After graduation, optical networks sped me a career path across three countries. My software runs in > 30,000 backbone nodes in hundreds of networks around the world. Chances are good that your voice has traveled through one of them!
Sometimes I blog about software technology, and my work life at IBM. The postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent IBM’s positions, strategies or opinions.
Sometimes I take a break from reality by playing my 'Gibson J45'. Most of the time I'm tuned into the land of the living ... hanging out with my wife and two young sons, reading novels, playing soccer or researching software advances.
